Flowers Design School was established in 1994 under the guidance of Ms Eva Herb Godwin, a German Master Florist. With humble beginnings in Victoria Park, Western Australia the school soon built a reputation within the floristry industry to be quality training and assessment resource, graduating students of the highest calibre.
Moving to larger premises in early 2000, Flowers Design School is located in the City West Complex, West Perth. The facilities were purposely fitted to accommodate floristry students undertaking both practical and theory training classes.
As part of the school's mission, Flowers Design School strive to source local and global floristry techniques to ensure that first class training is delivered through the various programs offered.
The founders of Flowers Design School selected a highly skilled and passionate team with precision and purpose, many of whom are still delivering training in 2011. The training and student support team at Flowers Design School share a common goal in their commitment to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where each student is treated with respect, fairness, honesty and loyalty.
Flowers Design School changed ownership in October 2009 and although the services, company mission and the team remained the same, background infrastructure such as introducing a computerised student record system and wider application to information technology were significant changes to the school's administrative arm of the business. These changes have proved to further improve the administrative tasks associated with the school. In addition, the compliance requirements of being a Registered Training Organisation have been incorporated effectively.
The new CEO of Flowers Design School, Jayne Endall has a strong corporate background and her high level of business acumen has been beneficial to the management of these changes.
In 2011 Flowers Design School continues to invest in the services and facilities at the City West premises. This is to ensure that we continuously enhance the overall learning experience for each and every student. There is also an active program in place where industry engagement is sought as part of our overall aim to work closely with the industry at large.
Today, Flowers Design School has a robust and transparent business structure and a team of true professionals working on program development, student services and training and assessment review. We have two German Master Florists within our team who's influence ensure that global trends and floral design education remains innovative, exciting and commercially viable.
