Jennie Brookes

My name is Jennie Brookes and I have been lucky enough to have worked at the Flowers Design School for approximately 3 years. I became involved in floristry after a mid-life sporting injury which meant that I could no longer play sport. I have always had a passion for flowers, and found myself at Beaufort Floral as a student achieving my Certificate in Bridal Floristry. This led me to opening my own successful wedding floristry business. Wanting to expand my skills, I attended FDS and achieved the Certificate III in Floral Design.  I have now worked in the floristry industry for some 20 years both as a principal of my own business and in retail floristry. More recently I have achieved my Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

I am married and have two children, and five beautiful grandsons!  I have a passion for travelling (which I would like to do more often), and being involved in anything crafty, such as quilting, patchwork and cooking. I love going to the movies and getting together with my friends and family. I LOVE teaching floristry to new students and sharing my passion!
