Jen Ashton

Jen is the ‘arty’ trainer at Flowers Design School.

Jen had existing skills in art, design and sculpture when she chose to study floristry at Flowers Design School.  After graduating with a Certificate IV qualification, she was able to combine floral techniques with sculpture to create unique ‘living artworks’.  She currently operates a successful business providing designs for the corporate market, weddings and private commissions.

In 2005, Jen was among the finalists for an Australian Design Award.  This was the first time a floral installation had been considered for these awards.  Jen has also been successful in competition floristry, winning both state and national titles.

With a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Jen delivers parts of all the qualification levels offered at Flowers Design School and is passionate about the encouragement of every student to reach their full design potential through knowledge, practice and imagination.

Free time is fairly limited for this busy lady, but Jen will always make time for regular workouts at the gym to maintain a healthy level of fitness and strength and to compensate for a love of chocolate and macarons (she says!)
